Baked Chocolate Sauce Pudding


  • 175g self-raising flour
  • 85g cocoa powder
  • 85g vegan margarine
  • 175g caster sugar
  • 200ml soya milk


  • 125g caster sugar
  • 25g cocoa powder
  • 600ml boiling hot water


  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees celsius
  2. Sieve the flour and cocoa into a bowl and rub in the margarine with your fingers until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  3. Stir in the sugar and mix in the milk until smooth.
  4. Spoon into an overproof dish and level the surface.
  5. Mix the sauce ingredients together and pour evenly over the pudding.
  6. Place in the oven and bake for 45 -50 minutes until the top is firm and the sauce has all sunk to the bottom of the dish.
  7. Remove from oven and let stand for 2 minutes. Serve immediately before the sauce gets soaked up by the pudding.
